Exciting news for Dr. Don Melady, GHEM Member and former volunteer in Addis Ababa, as well as a leading figure in Geriatric ED, and researcher and physician at the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Medicine Institute / Emergency Centre. Dr. Melady has been granted prestigious grant funds in excess of $4 million from the John A. Hartford Foundation and West Health Institute. This grant will go towards the Geriatric ED Collaborative, an interdisciplinary American and Canadian group, which focuses on quality improvement to optimize care for older adults in EDs across North America. Congratulations Dr. Melady!
